A COUNTY Limerick man, former journalist and current commissioner with the Garda Siochana Ombudsman Commission, (GSOC) remains in an induced coma in Spain after a fall from a wall caused him to suffer a serious back injury.

Evelyn, Mr Fitzgerald’s wife, together with his only child are at his bedside as are other members of the Limerick man’s family.

During his time as a journalist, Mr Fitzgerald was involved in research and production of a number of RTE flagship programmes.
