The Voice UK judges impressed with Limerick talent

Hopeful singers from Limerick and surrounding counties got an opportunity to perform for the judges of BBC’s talent show ‘The Voice UK’ at Limerick’s Open Door Studios based in John’s Square. Rebecca Le Saux of Open Door told Limerick Post that the judges were very impressed with Limerick’s local talent.

“I have to say Limerick, Tipperary and Clare have some very talented musicians and singers. There was a fantastic atmosphere and everyone was very supportive of each other. Both judges were impressed with whom they saw and I think we have made their job that little bit more difficult.”

Open Door Studios is owned by Rebecca’s partner Joe Mulcahy.  It is a recording studio and rehearsal space working with many bands and artists throughout Ireland and also produces commercial audio for businesses, radio, theatre and the gaming industry.

The_Voice_UKThe judges representing BBC’s ‘The Voice’ were professional and kind, putting the contestants at ease immediately says Rebecca. The format was a chat about yourself, where you’re from, hobbies and then onto the audition. The interviews were caught on camera and footage will be going back to the show’s producers to be viewed while our contestants await their fate.
