€150,000 cannabis seized in Limerick by garda drug squad

Limerick Gardai arrested a man in connection with the €150,000 cannabis find but he was later released without charge

A FILE is being prepared for the Director of Public Prosecutions after €150,000 worth of cannabis was seized at a house on the Old Cratloe Road last weekend.

Garda from Henry Street supported by the Divisional Drugs Unit located a significant amount of the controlled drugs during the search of house on the Old Cratloe Road at 8pm last Friday night.

Cannabis with a street value of almost €150,000 was seized.

A 32 year old man was arrested in connection with this seizure and was detained for three days at Henry Street Garda Station under S2 Criminal Justice Drugs Trafficking Act, 1996.

Superintendent Derek Smart of Henry Street confirmed that the man was released without charge and a file was being prepared for the director of public prosecutions.
