TWO toddlers have been rescued after they were seen hanging out an apartment window in Limerick this Thursday morning.

The children, aged just 1 and 2 years, were spotted hanging out a 2nd floor window of an apartment in Mount Kennett in Limerick city by a passerby.

Gardai were alerted and thanks to the quick thinking of the officers, a passing van was stopped and Gardai commandeered a builders ladder from the driver.

The two children were rescued and were assessed at the scene.

A garda investigation is underway.
