GAA – Lee and Kissane to be ratified by Limerick

screen-shot-2016-11-10-at-12-21-48BILLY LEE, manager and selector Paddy Kissane are to be ratified as part of the new Limerick Senior football manager team at the county convention in December.
Lee, from Newcastle West, has previously been a senior Limerick selector under Liam Kearns, from 1999-2005, while he also managed the county U-21 team. On the club scene, Lee has coached Austin Stacks, and Listowel Emmets, as well as Feohanagh-Castlemahon.
Lee will be joined in the backroom team by Cork’s 2010 All Star, Paudie Kissane. The Rebel star was part of Peadar Healy’s Cork backroom team this season, while he was also involved with Clare in 2013 and 2014.
The new look team, will also include, Brian Begley (Mungret) and Ricky Ronayne (Monaleen) as selectors, while Barry Fitzpatrick (Monaleen) will take on the role of strength and conditioing coach.
The 2017 team was put forward for ratification at a Football Committee meeting in Adare this week and it is expected to be voted into place at the county convention in December, seeing as their is no County board meeting in November.
In other news, Newcastle West’s Declan Brouder continues as U-21 football manager and is joined by selectors, Ger O’Connor (Fr Caseys), John O’Grady (Oola) and Karl Lenihan (Newcastle West) and the side will be coached by Tommy Stack.
