Gardaí are investigating the death of a woman in her late seventies in Limerick City.
The woman’s body was found at 1.30pm today at a house on New Road in Thomondgate.
The scene has been preserved for technical examination.
The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and Deputy State Pathologist Dr Michael Curtis is expected at the scene tonight.
