#UPDATED Gardaí investigating man’s death in Limerick village

Gardaí are investigating the death of a man in his 30’s at a house in the village of Pallaskenry earlier today.

Gardaí were called to the scene shortly before 5pm when the area was immediately sealed off for a technical examination. The office of the State Pathologist has been notified and the body remains at the scene.

A statement from the Garda Press Office shortly after 7pm confirmed that a 29-year-old man was arrested in relation to the death this evening.

He is being detained at Newcastle West Garda station under the provisions of section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act 1984 as amended.
