The 8th Limerick Lifelong Learning Festival, running from Monday 19 to Sunday 25 March 2018, has an exciting line-up of over 200 events across Limerick City and County including several at Mary Immaculate College.

The Lifelong Learning Festival is the culmination of work by various partners in promoting learning for all ages throughout the Limerick region through a week of fun and engaging activities and events. This year’s festival theme, ‘Limerick Reaching Out for Equitable and Inclusive Learning’, builds on last year’s ‘Communities, Connecting, Learning’ theme.

Events taking place in, or in conjunction with, Mary Immaculate College are as follows

Tuesday 20 March
Learn to be a hands-on Archaeologist!
Venue: Limerick City Museum in Henry street, Exhibition Room at 10am-1pm and 2pm-5pm. This is an opportunity to learn some of the techniques and practices involved in archaeology. Hosted by Dr Cathy Swift, Mary Immaculate College, 086-0679708.

Maths Circles Workshop (Primary School) Venue T1.11, TARA Building, Mary Immaculate College, South Circular Road, Limerick at 4pm – 6pm

Climate Change, Conflict and Human Migration: What We Can Do?

We are offering two brief German Taster Sessions, designed for participants with little to no prior German skills. Free of charge. German Kuchen (cake) and light refreshments will be served. Looking behind the Theatrical Scenes
Venue: Lime Tree Theatre, Mary Immaculate College, South Circular Road, Limerick at 5.30pm – 7pm (Meet at the Box Office)
This guided tour and talk will be an introduction to theatre auditorium design, technical theatre equipment and stagecraft for the curious and the uninitiated. It will take place in the Lime Tree Theatre. Hosted by Dr Michael Finneran, Head, Dept. of Drama & Theatre Studies, Mary Immaculate College.
