Asylum Speakers: Empathy in G minor

CASTLECONNELL based producer Daragh Dukes (They Do It with Mirrors, Headgear) has release his debut EP under his new moniker Asylum Speakers.

“I’ve managed to get some of these songs that have been driving me crazy, out of my head and into 1’s and zero’s. They sound a bit different on the outside, but it is a massive relief to hear them now with my ears,” says the songwriter.

The four tracker is an eclectic collection of atmospheric songs and intergalactic pop from the indie stomp of ‘Deep Within’ to the plaintive ‘Exit Wound’. The EP was mastered by Richard Dowling at Wav. A full album is promised in October.

An exciting prospect, fans of Mercury Rev or Django Django will enjoy this quality release from a producer described as halfway between Leonard Cohen and Leonard Nimoy – but manages to avoid Nimoy’s cheesier musical leanings by a country mile!!
