Frank McCourt Creative Writing Summer School set to inspire young authors

The Frank McCourt Creative Writing Summer School at the University of Limerick has the potential to ignite a creative flame and inspire new generations of budding authors, Shannon Group Deputy CEO Mary Considine has stated.

Speaking at the launch of the four-day festival named after one of Limerick’s great authors, Ms Considine said that there will be endless inspiration from an impressive cast of luminaries from the creative world assembled for the event.

The line-up, she added, reflects Limerick’s place in the world of creative writing.
Sponsored by Shannon Group, the event will feature readings by and interviews with multiple award-winning authors and experts such as Kevin Barry, Joseph O’Connor, Marian Keyes, Donal Ryan, Sarah Moore Fitzgerald, Bob Geldof and Kerry Neville.
