Seven ensembles line out for Limerick Jazz night

ONE of the most enjoyable and jazzy gigs in town rolls out in Dolan’s Upstairs venue on Tuesday May 8 from 7pm. This is the regular end of term Limerick Jazz Workshop that will see a series of accomplished ensembles, led by one, two or three professional jazz artists/ music teachers, entertain us into midnight.

Consider the calibre of career musicians Steve Hanks, Peter Hanagan, Bryan Meehan, Joe O’Callaghan and percussionist John Daly.

This workshop enters its eleventh year in 2018. Weekly classes will yield students from juniors to adults for this performance night. Look forward to seven consecutive ensembles and three vocalists, a huge range of instruments, playing styles and of course, guaranteed ability. The atmosphere is great.

“To date this has been a phenomenal success, mainly due to the vision and hard work done by founder Ed Hansom and a great teaching staff,” observes Limerick Jazz chairman, John Daly.  “We hope that you will come and support this great night of music.”
P.S. Decent finger food is on the house and just €5 in covers this five-hour concert. Take a peak at past performances on
