Liam Naughton from Kilmallock releases CD ‘Leaning In’

Liam Naughton originally from Kilmallock, currently living in Perth Australia, has released ‘Leaning In’ a rock album of original music.

Currently working in the mining industry as an instrument and controls engineer with Broken Hill Proprietary (BHP), Liam has been living in Perth since 2004.

Recording on this album began in April 2016 and finished in August 2018, “It was a broken up process because life gets in the way at times. My first extended play record (EP) ‘Cornerstone’ had a lot of orchestral instruments, but this is more guitar driven.”

Liam who grew up in Kilmallock, was a boy soprano in the local church choir where his dad Sean was the choirmaster and mum Moira was the choir organist.

Liam studied engineering at Cork Regional Technical College (RTC) and learned to play guitar in 2004, then began composing and released his first record ‘Cornerstone’ in 2012.

“I’ve been singing since before I could speak. I Won two pretty high profile karaoke competitions in Cork in 1992 and 1997. I feel I have something to offer to original music in my style.

“I want to make music that feels real, that covers sometimes hard topics, real life stuff, love, addiction, mental issues, loss and deliver it sincerely,” said Liam.

Both ‘Cornerstone’ and ‘Leaning In’ are available on iTunes, Amazon, Spotify, Google Play and there are CD’s available on request.
