Limerick event to raise funds for Movement of Asylum Seekers in Ireland

MOVEMENT of Asylum Seekers in Ireland (MASI) , are organising a fundraiser in Limerick this weekend, to raise funds for their movement.
MASI will host an event in Dolan’s Pub this Friday, with doors opening at 7.30pm. Tickets cost €10 (or €5 for Direct Provision residents).
The night promises to be filled with international music, dance and poetry from performers from all around the globe, including acts such as The Citadel, David Idioh, Celtic Whisper, Yovanna Torres, Julianne Hennelly and others.
speaking on the event, a spokesperson stated: “MASI is a grassroots organisation based in Ireland. We are people who are or have been in the asylum and direct provision system in Ireland, working and advocating together for justice, freedom and dignity for refugees, asylum seekers and migrants. Our focus is on the Right to Education and the Right to Work for all people seeking asylum, on the complete abolition of direct provision and an end to deportations.
