Everly Brothers show from Brothers Zmed

‘Bye Bye Love’, ‘Wake Up Little Susie’, ‘All I Have to Do Is Dream’ and ‘Cathy’s Clown’ are all huge hits for The Everly Brothers in the 1950s/ 60s.
From 1957 to 1962, The Everly brothers sold more than 35 million records and had 26 Top 40 hits. To this day The Everly Brothers carry the record for most billboard charting hits of any American Rock Duo.

The Zmed brothers, Zachary and Dylan, have celebrated the sounds of The Everly Brothers music with enthusiastic crowds all across the US and beyond.
The Dylan Zmed says, “We are not impersonators, Our aim is to honour their unique place in music history. “They influenced The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan.. pretty much anyone who came after them. They were one of the first acts to ever actually tour the world every year.”

Growing up with a father (Adrian Zmed) as a travelling singer/ dancer/actor (‘Grease 2’, ‘Bachelor Party’, T.J. Hooker) and a mother (Barbara) as a second grade teacher in a suburb of Los Angeles, the Zmed Brothers were early converts to The Everly Brothers.

The boys’ father was playing the character Danny Zuko on Broadway for much of their childhood and since that is set in the late 50s, the first music the young Zmeds ever connected to was that of Fats Domino, Chuck Berry and The Everly Brothers.
“We were raised on the magic and nostalgia of the iconic sounds from 50s and 60s rock’n’roll. As my bother and I began writing and performing, we sought out songs that we loved that could feature what made us sound unique.

“The Everly Brothers music is a huge part of us developing our sense of country traditional blood harmony singing.
“We quickly found that for folks our age (30’s and younger) that there is a void in consciousness of the impact that Don and Phil’s career had on all modern music.
“My brother, our partners Burleigh Drummond (drums), and Rich Rees (booking agent) put this show together.”
