FOLLOWING on from the huge success of last year’s festival , Feile Classical, Trip to Tipp returns in September 2019. Taking place on Friday September 20 and Saturday September 21, the Limerick based organisers CWB say this Feile Classical will be, “two days of the best of Irish music with a different line-up each day.
Announced today for the festival is the Sultans of Ping with the Irish Chamber Orchestra, along with The Frank and Walters and Mundy.
The Trip to Tipp made a stomping return in 2018 as Féile Classical, with two-sold out electrifying concerts entertaining over 20,000 people putting Thurles back on the map. The bands that took part in Feile Classical had just as much fun as the punters according to curator Tom Dunne.
“It was remarkable. When each of the bands got back to home to normality, the feeling just stayed with us, we kept in touch swapping stories and having the craic about who’s set was the best, the energy was still with us, the conclusion was that the buzz of the weekend was far too special to be a once off.”
