Munster Rugby have today announced that they have entered
into an exclusive technology partnership with Vodafone Ireland.
The partnership will see the rollout of Vodafone Business
solutions across the organisation to connect supporters, sponsors, players,
coaches and staff.
Vodafone will partner with Munster to help the province grow
on a global scale and create an interconnected fan base.
Vodafone’s mobile network and One Net Business – a unified communications solution which allows businesses to combine all of their communications tools into one solution hosted on the cloud.
This will give Munster Rugby connectivity and mobility across their offices and training facilities in Cork and Limerick and for their staff who work remotely.
The partnership will also provide gigabit connectivity,
through SIRO, to Thomond Park. This connectivity is crucial for a high
performance sports team, like Munster, so staff, coaches and players are
digitally enabled for matches, training, and analysis.
Regina Moran, Enterprise Director, Vodafone Ireland said:
“Munster Rugby is a team, but also a business, that requires first-class
digital support to enhance performance on and off the field.
“We are delighted to partner with them and enable their
digital journey with our innovative business-centric solutions. Vodafone works
with organisations, like Munster Rugby, to match their strategy and goals with
the best technology and this partnership is a great example of that.
“They are a small business that wants to grow
internationally, but also an organisation with a lot of moving parts, travel
requirements and employees based in different locations so connectivity,
agility and mobility with the technology to enable them are essential for
Doug Howlett, Munster Rugby Head of Commercial and Marketing
