Visible/Invisble Light shines through the Hunt Museum

THE Hunt Museum and Limerick Museum have come together with the Diocese of Limerick for a new visual art show current at The Hunt. In place for the next two months, ย we hear that โ€โ€˜Visible Reminders of Invisible Lightโ€™ is an exhibition that weaves together many strands of creativity around the theme of family, and celebrates Limerickโ€™s long tradition in visual culture.โ€

Some 17 artists are involved. Bishop Brendan Leahy had launch honours. He told the gallery gathering that โ€œwhat excites me particularly about this project is that the artists have placed themselves in relationship with others โ€“ others who speak to them from the past through artworks from the Museum but also with others who are awaiting a word of re-interpretation or new meaning from them in the present.

โ€œThey do us a great service in re-awakening encounter with the theme of family from a variety of angles across generations.โ€
