Madness to play Limerick for Live at the Docklands festival weekend

SKA legends Madness will play Limerick this Summer. Madness are one of the most popular pop groups of all time with over 22 chart topping hits, the Nutty Boys are household names loved for their quirky pop classics House of Fun; Driving in My Car; It Must Be Love; Our House; and Baggy Trousers.

Unlike many other bands of their vintage, Madness continue to write and record new music. Full House, The Very Best of Madness is a brand new compilation was released in November of last year. Their latest studio album is the critically acclaimed Can’t Touch Us

Madness played in Limerick in 1985 at The Savoy Theatre, expect huge interest in the region for one of pop’s most loved and revered party bands. The band played an outstanding show at Central Hall Westminster, London on New Year’s Eve 2018 which was broadcast live on BBC.

Speaking at today’s announcement concert promoter Mick Dolan said:
“Securing Madness to play Live at the Docklands in our first year is a real coup. The band achieved massive success in the mid-1980s spending 214 weeks in the UK singles charts over the course of that decade. This is a band that never fails to raise the roof and we are certain that audiences from Limerick and further afield will have the time of their lives on the June Bank Holiday weekend”.
