A LIMERICK restaurant has shut its doors, marking the third closure of a local business in recent times.

The Olive Tree on George’s Quay, formerly Rossi’s Italian and Grill announced on their website that they are permanently closed.

Serving class European-style dishes with a focus on seafood, the restaurant opened under its new name in 2024.

It’s the latest in a number of business closures across the city, including Italian restaurant La Piccola on O’Connell Street after 46 years in business.
