ALL-Ireland winning Limerick hurlers, Barry Nash and Tom Morrissey were game to launch the Dóchas Mid-West Autism golf classic, teeing off on April  26 and 27 at Ballyneety Golf Club, a pre-qualifier for the JP McManus 2020 Pro-Am.

The goal of the Golf Classic is to raise funds for the completion of the Dóchas Mid-West Autism Centre on Parnell Street, significantly increasing the number of children/young adults who can access services at the centre.

Denis Doherty, chairperson of Dochas Mid-West Autism said the golf classic is a key event in their fundraising plan and they were looking for a good turnout from local golfers to support more Autism families in the Mid-West region.”

Dóchas Mid-West Autism Support is a registered charity established in 1997 to support the needs of children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in the Mid-West.

The charity hosts supervised social clubs for Autistic children to develop their communication and social interaction skills.  Dochas also currently provides music therapy, toddler groups and a parent support group for its members.
