O’Malley’s: Low ticket warning for Lime Tree

The O'Malleys

IT took the Limerick band almost 40 years to finally record and release an album.

Limerick music fans, on the other hand are not hanging about on this launch gig at Lime Tree Theatre on Thursday June 6. Tickets are going very fast as word gets out about the new album called ‘Can You Hear Me’ which will be on general release from June 6.

Recorded and mixed by Dave Keary at Red Door Studios and produced by Dave and Jim Hanley, this new album is an absolute gem capturing the band in performance at their best.
Recent tracks from Ger Costelloe (‘Who are You, Who Am I’ and the brilliantly mordant ‘One Thing’s For Certain’) and a new version of Peter Donnelly’s ‘Denmark Street’ hit their targets. All the band contribute strong original work along with a few choice cover versions from Sandy Denny and Robbie Robertson.

The live launch will feature tracks from the album performed with a host of extra musicians, some from the next generation of Mulcahy and Keary families.

This show is a hot ticket, a rare theatrical appearance.
