ARTISTS Elephant Ears and Shirley Callaghan have released a new collaborative single, Haunting My Shadows. The collaborative release explores impossible love and emotional memory.
The track is an atmospheric alt rock song built around themes of impossible love, longing and the way memory can blur the line between imagination and reality. According to the artists, the song captures the feeling of a presence that slips out of reach, lingering at the edge of consciousness and haunting the spaces left behind.
Callaghan is known for her unflinching, intimate approach to songwriting, drawing on themes of grief, war, power, injustice and survival to craft work rooted in lived experience and emotional truth. Elephant Ears brings a complementary sensibility to the collaboration — a sound defined by emotional storytelling and genre-fluid production. After a 25-year hiatus the return has proven remarkably successful.
