Twelve year Bad Reputation celebrated

Old school Metal and 70s rock from King Witch this Sunday 4.

LIMERICK’S metal promoters Bad Reputation have had their busiest year so far, having filled King John’s Castle in June with a Behemoth / Amon Amarth double header.
It is now 12 years since the promoters started running metal events to the city. This Sunday August 4, six bands are lined up to celebrate with Bad Rep.

King Witch from Scotland are a lead-heavy brew of old school Metal and 70s rock. Comparisons range from Black Sabbath and Candlemass to Mastodon and High On Fire. The band’s debut EP ‘Shoulders of Giants’ earned them a fanbase and brought tours of the UK and Ireland as well as playing festivals in Europe such as the prestigious Sweden Rock Fest, Muskel Rock and the Malta Doom Festival.

Laura Donnelly on lead vocals has been described by Decibel as a front woman who “exudes love for Serpentcult, Coven and Janis Joplin.”
Leeds based HYOM (Hundred Year Old Man) are an ambient post metal band. Their atmospheric, wall of sound approach is an all consuming, sometimes ferocious and wonderfully crushing experience.

Bad Reputation featuring King Witch (Scotland), Hundred Year Old Man (England), Shardborne, A Burial at Sea (England), Hope is Noise, Slung From A Tree happens at Dolan’s Warehouse this Sunday August 4.
