2019 is the 90th year of Limerick Show. Event manager Donie O’Connor tells Limerick Post to anticipate a major bells and whistles event. “We will have music, sweet music from Shaun O’Dowd, Gina and The Champions, Roland Collins and a number of DJs.

“This year we have a tie in with Limerick City and County Council to promote entrepreneurs and producers of the best of locally sourced food stuffs. We want to provide a forum that is very much about getting people to network, talk, meet and exchange business cards.

“We are delighted to shine a special spotlight on local food producers, using indigenous ingredients produced by our farming community.”

As chairperson of West Limerick Heritage, Donie is interested in stimulating interest in what our fabulous culture has to offer: “We want to link in with heritage and tourism in these parts and we want people to engage in that area.”
