A 6pm bell rings today, Monday 26, for Dance Limerick’s 2019 premiere of three dance works from Step Up’s 9th summer school.

Curated by international choreographer and director of Donlon Dance Collective, Marguerite Donlon, six amazing dancers from around the world were chosen following audition process. They are Aliina Lindroos (Finland), Claudia Gesmundo (Italy), Ginvera Cecere (Italy), Juliana Tarumoto (Brazil) Ambre Twardowski (France) and Rosie Mullin (Ireland).

Dance Limerick tells us “they are a mix of Irish natives who have travelled abroad to complete their training and who seek work, and dancers who have trained in Ireland and are now resident here.”

The choreographers and coaches are European and top notch: Emanuele Soavi and Francesco Vecchione in the creation of these new works that will now tour Ireland.

“Step Up Dance Programme is an annual intensive programme of training, rehearsals, performance and development for selected dancers who have completed their professional training within the last three years.” Booking on www.dancelimerick.ie
