Rose of Tralee to turn on Limerick Christmas Lights

The reigning Rose of Tralee, Limerick’s Dr Sinéad Flanagan will be the Mayor’s special guest as Christmas in Limerick is officially launched this Sunday [17 Nov] with the turning on of the city’s spectacular LED Christmas lights at Light Up Limerick.

It will be a jam packed day with members of the public invited into the City centre from 2pm for the Liveable Limerick Charity Xmas Dash on O’Connell Street.

Then at 4.30pm the Light up Limerick event will kick off on O’Connell Street.

Limerick Youth Choir and Zion Vocal Ensemble will perform for the crowd and get them into the Christmas spirit.

Panto characters from Limerick Panto Society’s Beauty and the Beast at the Lime Tree Theatre, and The Specsavers Limerick Panto Aladdin at the University Concert Hall will also entertain.
