Limerick Electronic Arts Festival announces more exciting events

Digitalism

LEAF 2020 (Limerick Electronic Arts Festival) happens in the city on March 5-8. The festival aims to position Limerick city front and centre in the world of electronic arts at the intersection of technology and artistic expression.

More events have been announced including an Electronic Carnival featuring a Family Rave, a Youth Conference and live shows from Digitalism and legendary techno DJ Dave Clarke.

German dance music pioneers Digitalism will perform at the carnival on Friday March 6 at the Leaf Pop Up Warehouse.
From their classic album “Idealism” and its huge single “Zdarlight” to their stellar remixes foe White Stripes and Daft Punk, Digitalism are as at home in the mosh pit as they are on the club dance floor.

Joining them at this special opening night party will be a man who was one of the first international DJs to play in Limerick 25 years ago and is now a global name in techno. Dave Clarke is a titan of electronic music, from his eponymous parties at Amsterdam Dance Event to his Radio Show White Noise beamed to over 40 radio networks around the world, it promises to be the perfect musical foil to Digitalism.

Tickets from www.ticketmaster.ie for the Electronic Carnival at LEAF go on sale this Friday 20 at 9am.

In addition to the headline shows and workshops the first LEAF Family Rave at the LEAF Pop Up Warehouse happens on Sunday March 8.

This alcohol-free and family friendly morning gathering features festival rave favourites King Kong Company who brought the house down at this year’s Electric Picnic.

Intersection is a Symposium on the Business of Electronic Arts taking place on Friday March 6 at the new LCFE Campus Warehouse space on Mulgrave Street.
With panels on how E-Sports and pop up venues are reshaping cities, AI and Art and Limerick’s position as Europe’s new Berlin alongside speakers from Facebook, MTV, Tiktok and Spotify, Intersection is a one-of-a-kind event bringing together everyone interested in our digital future.
