FOLLOWING the discovery of a body in the Ballina area of Tipperary, the missing person search for Paddy Rainsford has been stood down.
The 86-year-old was last seen on Wednesday at 6:30pm leaving his home in Lisnagry, Limerick.
A Garda spokesperson said, “Gardaí are working closely with the family during this tragic time. We would like to thank the public and the media for their assistance in this matter.”
