La Nuit Des Idées a Demain

Music, film, debate and talks by experts in the field of climate change, Thursday Jan 30.

ATTEND to a unique event taking place tonight Thursday 30 between 6pm and 10pm at No. 1 Pery Square, organised by Alliance Francaise Limerick (AFL).

The women at AFL have great initiative and this month have organised a night of ideas, ‘La Nuit Des Idées’. The other stakeholders are the French Embassy in Ireland and the Institut Francais.

‘Make our planet great again’ is the theme to musical readings from 6pm. The entertaining documentary ‘Demain’ (Tomorrow), directed by Cyril Dion and Mélanie Laurent, will screen at 7pm. Made in 2015, we hear, “It is the beginning of a movement seeking to encourage local communities around the world to change the way that they live for the sake of our planet.”

At 9pm, MIC’s Dr Loic Guon, honorary consul for France in Limerick, will lead “an animated debate” on climate challenges with Dr John Morrissey, lecturing in Mary I in Geography.
