A PROPOSAL for an online book of condolences for families of those who have died due to Covid-19 has been approved by Limerick City and County Council.

Fianna Fáil councillor Catherine Slattery, who made the proposal, feels it will give a lot of people comfort as they can sympathise with families who have lost loved ones to this deadly virus.

The public can go online to Limerick.ie and pay tribute to those who have died due to Covid-19.

“In these unprecedented times funerals are now a private family affair and many people have not been able to express their sympathy to the families. The online Book of Condolences will let these families know that the public are thinking of them in their time of grief.

“We are together but apart and we will always remember those who lost their lives,” Cllr Slattery said.
