LIMERICK band Van Panther was formed by singer-songwriter / multi-instrumentalist Kieran Ralph in 2016. Their mix of indie-pop and electronica has won the band airplay on RTÉ 2fm and BBC Radio Ulster for last year’s Overcast EP and the earworm singles ‘The Cutters’ and ‘No Seasons’.
Van Panther’s new single ‘To Live & Die’ is another fine breezy anthem, a song celebrating road trips and wanderlust written in the midst of the summer of Covid-19 lockdown.
The song,”focuses on the harsh realities surrounding entrapment within one’s hometown.” says Ralph.
“This is a song about wanderlust, but given our current circumstances, you will have to let the music take you there instead.”
The video made by Crude Media’s Shane Serrano was filmed on Limericks deserted streets mirroring the songs claustrophobic themes
‘To Live & Die’ from Van Panther is out on Friday July 10.
