Gardai investigating after girl injured in collision between car and bike

GARDAÍ are investigating after a girl was injured in a collision with a car while cycling her bike, in Limerick.
It occurred In the Dooradoyle area shortly before 6pm last night.
The girl, believed to be five years of age, was taken to University Hospital by ambulance where she was being treated for non life threatening injuries.
“Gardaí are investigating a road traffic collision involving a car and a bicycle that occurred at approximately 5:40pm in Dooradoyle, Limerick, on Friday, 28th August, 2020,” a Garda spokesman said.
“A female child was taken to University Hospital Limerick with non-life threatening injuries.“
Gardai confirmed that “no other injuries to persons was reported”.
“Investigations are ongoing,” they added.
