Limerick FC Join Treaty United in Three Underage Leagues

LIMERICK FC have confirmed that they will be participating in the Airtricity League U-14/15/17 leagues in 2021. The club made the announcement on their official Facebook page and credited their coaches who made it possible.

The short statement read; “Confirmation. Limerick football club have been confirmed as participants in the league of Ireland underage u 14s, u15s and and u17s. We build and more good news to follow. Congratulations to the coaches and staff who stood firm.”

The news means that there will be two Limerick sides competing at underage national league level as Treaty United began looking for expressions of interest last weekend. The main difference is that Limerick FC will not be entering an U-19 team although it is believed to have been an ambition of Pat O’Sullivan’s.

Despite the fact that Treaty United will be the senior representative in the region this year and for the foreseeable future, Limerick FC have been defiant in their belief that they will apply for a First Division license in 2022.
