The Club Mark is designed to improve and facilitate the growth of the game across the board within the country at every age level and promote an increase in participation within the sport.

The goal and intention behind the award is to reward clubs for their commitment and achievements while maintaining high standards which in turn will increase the growth of football communities throughout the country.

The support offers clubs a chance to improve and establish a higher capacity to operate effectively and achieve their desired goals. ultimately benefiting the nation in achieving success at the National level.

As there is several roles in each club , the Club Mark looks to aid the running of the governance with each team and assist with the development of all participants at grassroots level.

The two awards involved with the FAI Club Mark are the entry level award and the one star award with three categories such as players and coaching, governance and administration and finally clubs with underage players having to be fulfilled in order to receive the mark from the national football organisation recognising the achievements made by the club.
