Weekend Sport | What to watch and where to find it

IT’S that time of the week once again where we will run you through the jam-packed action of sports that will be on this weekend. We will tell you what you can watch and where you can find it.

 

Saturday

 

The Paralympics will be shown live on RTÉ 2 from 11am with the action from Tokyo including athletics and much more.

Golf action will see the Solheim Cup take place from noon on Sky Sports Golf. The Italian Open will follow from 12.30pm on the same channel. Sky Sports Golf will also broadcast the Tour Championship from 6pm.

 

Cricket fans can enjoy England v India on Sky Sports Cricket at 10.15am.

 

Sky Sports F1 will have practice & qualifying from the Dutch Grand Prix at 10.45am.

 

Soccer for the weekend involves international sides competing in World Cup Qualifiers. Finland will play Kazakhstan at 2pm on Sky Sports Football, the Republic of Ireland will face the challenge of Azerbaijan at 5pm on the same channel. Sky Sports Premier League will have coverage of Latvia v Norway from 5pm. Serbia will play Luxembourg at 5pm and can be found on Virgin Media Two, Qatar v Portugal will be available on Sky Sports Red Button at the same time. Ukraine and France will face off at 7.45pm on Sky Sports Premier League, while Scotland take on Moldova on Sky Sports Football at 7.15pm.

 

Cycling enthusiasts will be able to catch action on Eurosport 1 as Stage 20: To Castro de Herville from 2.15pm.

 

The Women’s Interprovincials take place on TG4 as the rugby coverage will involve Leinster against Ulster at 5pm, followed by Munster playing Connacht at 7.30pm. In other rugby action, Stade Francais will play Racing 92 from 5.15pm, followed by Toulon taking on Montpellier at 8.05pm, both games will be shown on Premier Sports 1.

 

UFC will be live on BT Sport 2 from 9pm as Darren Till will face off against Derek Brunson in Las Vegas.

 

Sunday

 

The Paralympics will again be available, this time on Channel 4 from 0.05am, the action from Tokyo will include wheelchair basketball and more. The closing ceremony will be live on RTÉ 2 from 11.50am.

 

GAA action will be shown on TG4 as the All-Ireland Women’s Football Final take place. Antrim will face Wicklow from 11.45am, Westmeath will take on the challenge of Wexford from 1.45pm and finally Dublin will play Meath at 4.15pm.

Cricket will continue on Sunday as England and India face off again from 10.15am on Sky Sports Cricket.

 

Cycling on Sunday comes from ITV4 as the Tour of Britain stage 1 takes place at 10.45am. Eurosport 1 will have coverage of To Santiago de Compostela from 4.35pm.

 

Golf will start at noon on Sky Sports Golf as the Solheim Cup resumes. The Italian Open will also continue on the same channel at 12.30pm. The Tour Championship from Georgia will be available on Sky Sports Golf from 5pm.

 

F1 action will come from the Dutch Grand Prix on Sky Sports F1 at 12.30pm.

 

Soccer will see more World Cup Qualifiers take place on Sunday as Belarus will face off against Wales, the game will be live on Sky Sports Football at 2pm. England v Andorra will be shown on Virgin Media Two at 5pm. Estonia v Northern Ireland will be live from 5pm on Sky Sports Football, Switzerland will take on the current European champions in Italy at 7.45pm on the same channel. Premier Sports 1 will show Brazil v Argentina at 8pm, followed by Ecuador v Chile at 10pm.

 

Rugby on Sunday will see more Top 14 action take place as Lyon take on Clermont at 4.45pm on Premier Sports 1, while La Rochelle play Toulouse at 8.05pm on Premier Sports 2.
