LIMERICK County Fianna Fáil TD, Minister Niall Collins, has welcomed the launch of a pet travel information on-line portal, bringing together in one location information about pet travel into Ireland.

Minister Collins stated, ”I am pleased to see the launch of this Pet Portal which will assist pet owners who plan to travel to Ireland, in providing them with all the necessary information on what is needed when travelling with their pets.

This is a user-friendly portal which also provides information for people travelling with assistance dogs, transiting Ireland with pets, travelling or relocating out of Ireland with pets.

I know that for people transporting their pets can be a stressful time so I hope this new portal will greatly assist pet owners.”

The information is filtered by species and the country of origin, resulting in tailored advice.
