Atlantic Dive club’s invitation to take the plunge

Atlantic Dive Club

ANYONE who has ever thought they might like to breathe under water and enjoy life below the sea can give the experience a try out in safety on Thursday, January 13.

That’s when the Atlantic Dive Club is offering their ‘Try-a-Dive’ evening in the 25m diving pool in the UL Sports Arena.

The event takes place at 8pm and all equipment will be supplied with safety of participants and divers at a premium.

Many people have considered Scuba Diving or have dived abroad, and are curious as to how to continue the sport  in Ireland.

Based in Limerick and Clare, the Atlantic Dive Club operates its own twin-engine 7m RIB and do a good deal of diving off the Clare coast as well as undertaking regular trips to dive sites around Ireland.

The ‘Try-a-Dive’ evening  “is an ideal opportunity to experience Scuba for the first time, in a safe environment, under the supervision of experienced instructors. All are welcome, all equipment is provided, and no experience is necessary.” the club organisers say.

“An online safety brief lecture will be provided to all participants on the evening before the Try-a-Dive. We are working with UL Sports Arena to ensure that all precautionary Covid 19 measures are in place to ensure the safety of both participants and instructors.

“Should people enjoy the experience and wish to continue with us, our instructors will be giving lessons on successive Thursdays throughout January, February and March.”
