Limerick to host first in-person Tidy Towns seminar in three years

LIMERICK City and County Council is inviting Tidy Towns groups from across the county to its first in-person Tidy Towns seminar since 2019.

Guest speakers will include representatives from the Abbeyleix Tidy Towns Committee who took the title of Ireland’s tidiest small town in last year’s competition.

Senior Tidy Towns Adjudicator Anne O’Leary, who has been involved with the competition for 40 years will also speak at the event.

Welcoming the fact that Limerick’s Tidy Towns groups would be able to network at an in-person event, Mayor Daniel Butler said that they continue to make an enormous contribution to civic life in Limerick and the seminar is just one way that the Council can support them with their volunteer work.

“I am looking forward to meeting them and welcoming our guest speakers to Limerick,” he said.
