Further Limerick expansion for Ballyseedy business

THE owners of Ballyseedy Home and Garden Centre in Tralee have announced that the company is to create a number of new jobs in Limerick this year.

The company, which is owned by the McDonnell family, has operated its flagship home and garden centre and cafe in Tralee since 1992.

The Group also operate three additional cafés in partnership with Dairygold, located in Raheen in Limerick and at Midleton and Carrigaline in Cork.

Their Tralee business in Ballyseedy is widely regarded as one of Munster’s most sophisticated home and lifestyle destinations.

On Friday it was announced that the company will create 50 new positions in 2022 as part of an major expansion of its business.

The move will see the company opening a number of new food businesses in Kerry and Limerick.

Roles to be filled include chefs of all levels; food production managers and assistants; restaurant managers; baristas and café assistants, kitchen porters; a marketing assistant and a HR manager.

Ballyseedy’s Managing Director Nathan McDonnell said the company is entering “a fast growth phase”.

“It’s going to be an exciting place to work with loads of career progression opportunities. We’re looking for smart capable people who are up for a challenge. We’re proud to be creating new jobs in Kerry and Limerick this summer,” he said.
