While most single-seater hanging egg chairs will hold a maximum weight of 120kg, this freestanding oval chair can support up to 150kg. Its black frame and seat challenge the usual outdoor colours, making it stand out, but also less likely to fit in everywhere. This egg chair can be used both indoors and outdoors while the seat and frame are constructed from metal. Again, this means that the comfort and support of this chair come solely from the padded seat cushion and headrest. Home Store + More’s Valentina Egg Chair
Best: for indoor use
Home Store+More’s Valentina egg chair is perfect for adding a touch of elegance to an interior space. Made from a synthetic rattan effect material, this egg chair is weather-resistant, meaning it can also be placed outdoors on a patio. Though, what we like the most about the Valentina is its non-traditional design. It is noticeably different from every other chair on this list because it is non-hanging. Its frame is made from steel which is incredibly strong, and the weight capacity for this egg chair is slightly higher than usual (160kg). This may be because it is not suspended from a chain. Yet, what this chair is unfortunately missing is that nice bounce that a person would normally feel in a hanging alternative. Instead of a hooped bottom, the Valentina has four legs, which limits its use outdoors. For instance, we would not suggest placing this on grass because the pressure felt on these four points may cause the chair to sink. Still, the surface of the chair can be cleaned in an instant with just a damp cloth. And how could we forget the cushions, the cushions are exceptionally comfortable and are suitable for both indoors and outdoors.
