INDEPENDENT councillor Brigid Teefy has asked that a programme be put in place to open the gullies and inlets on all the regional and local roads in the Cappamore-Kilmallock area.
“Great work has been done on the roads and on the various drainage schemes carried out but the ongoing maintenance is needed,” she told this month’s area meeting.
Cllr Teefy was informed by Senior Executive Engineer Trevor McKechnie that roads staff are currently compiling a new drainage maintenance programme for cleaning inlets and gullies.
