GARDAĆ have renewed theirĀ appeal for witnesses to an assault of a woman who was repeatedly punched in the face by a man in Limerick City Centre.
Limerick Garda Crime Prevention Officer Sergeant Ber Leetch said the victim, in her early twenties, had been out socialising with friends between 1.20am and 1.30am on Sunday, May 29 when she was assaulted by a man who was on his own.
She said the victim was ābrought to hospital and treated for a suspected broken nose and other facial injuriesā.
āOāConnell Street is usually busy at that time on Sunday morning so we’re hopeful that someone saw what happened.
