Vandal left footprints in paint outside Limerick home

LIMERICK Gardaí have appealed for witnesses to a bizarre act of vandalism in which a driveway of a home was defaced in painted footprints.

Garda John Finnerty, Henry Street Garda Station, said the incident occurred last Wednesday, June 1 at around 1.25pm when a man covered the soles of his footwear in paint and walked all over the driveway of a house at Windsor Court in Castletroy View,.

“As a result there was a trail of paint left all over the driveway.”

“Paint is extremely difficult to remove, and, as one can imagine this caused much distress to the owner of the property.”

Appealing for witnesses Garda Finnerty said: “There are a lot of houses in Windsor Court and as this incident occurred during the day, someone may have seen this event occur.”
