Limerick Suicide Watch to bring Santa to Milk Market at weekend

LIMERICK Suicide Watch (LSW), often seen patrolling Limerick’s quays late at night in their trademark neon keeping the city’s waterways safe, are launching their annual fundraiser at the Milk Market this Saturday December 17.
The LSW Charity Santa event will take place this Saturday at the popular local landmark with the jolly man in red himself in attendance. Representatives of LSW say that all are welcome to take pictures with Santa and his elves in their open-top vintage car from 10am.
A merchandise stall will also be available with proceeds going to LSW for anyone looking to support the work of the river patrol group.
The event is part of LSW’S Open Air Showroom fundraiser, sponsored by Lyons of Limerick.
The LSW team expressed their thanks to their extensive network of volunteers, family, friends, and supporters throughout the year, and urged the people of Limerick to be conscious of the mental wellbeing of themselves and those around them during the winter months.
The team will be on patrol throughout the Christmas season and into the new year.
A list of services provided by LSW can be found on the group’s app available on all smartphones.
