Man charged over seizure of drugs and cash in Limerick

A man has been charged before Limerick District Court in connection with the seizure of drugs and cash.

He was arrested after Gardaí intercepted a car near the Tipperary Roundabout, just off the Ballysimon Road, last Thursday afternoon.

A Garda spokeswoman said that approximately €5,500 in cash and cannabis was recovered during searches including of the car and in further searches.

“Gardaí arrested a man following the search of a vehicle at the Ballysimon roundabout on Thursday, January 5. A sum of cash was recovered during the course of this search and an amount of cannabis was seized in further searches,” said a Garda spokesman

“The man, aged in his 30s, was arrested and taken to Henry Street Garda Station. He was later charged and appeared before Limerick District Court.”
