Limerick programme to help those concerned with cannabis use

THE HSE Mid West Drug and Alcohol Service is offering an eight-week group treatment programme for people concerned about their use of cannabis.

The programme, which will be held from 2 to 4pm at a venue in Limerick City from Tuesday, February 21 and is aimed at those who would like to stop, cut down or change their cannabis habit.

It is a free and confidential service that has been run previously on several occasions and suitable for those aged 18 and over living in Clare, Limerick and North Tipperary.

Many participants in previous programmes have reduced their use or achieved abstinence. It is based on treatment strategies that research has proved to be effective and is facilitated by an Outreach Worker and Counsellor.
