Limerick woman banned for second drink driving offence

A DRIVER who appeared in a Limerick court for the second time on a drink driving charge was put off the road for two years last week.

Sabine Kirse (30) of Woodfield Park, Newcastle West was stopped by Garda Errol Flynn on July 31 last at Woodfield, and was found to have a reading of 39 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath when breathalysed.

Judge Carol Ann Coolican heard that Ms Kirse had three previous convictions, including one for drink driving, dating back five years.

Her solicitor Mike O’Donnell told the court that Ms Kirse was apologetic and was undergoing “personal difficulties” at the time of the offence.

He said she had co-operated fully with Gardaí at the time.
