Limerick activewear brand helps women dress for every weather

Louise Cooney, Limerick influencer and CLOO founder

LIMERICK fashion and lifestyle influencer turned business owner Louise Cooney launched her activewear brand, CLOO, in late 2021. Since then, it feels like activewear is the new black, as the local lady’s pieces become a staple of Irish women’s wardrobes.

From waterproof puffer jackets to sweat-wicking leggings – the V-waist leggings deserve special mention here for the sole fact that they include pockets alone – and cosy fleece jumpers, the range is designed for the everyday woman and caters to all sizes.

Truth be told, they provide great bang for your buck as the pieces can be styled for both exercise and loungewear, as well as casual day-to-day wear.

The clever Cooney’s range also offers accessories like socks and beanies, as well as more practical (no offence, beanies) clothing items like sports bras and sweatshirts.

The High Waist Super Straight Leggings are one of the most popular trending pieces on the CLOO site right now. No surprise really given their versatility. Louise herself has been spotted wearing them with an oversized blazer.

A personal favourite is the Laila Half-Zip Sweatshirt in Dusty Pink (also comes in a gorgeous pale lemon), not only for its colour but also for the soft cotton fabric. It’s got a warm and indulgent feel without the burden of heaviness or overheating.

There’s something in the collection for every budget, with items ranging from €12 to €95, and since CLOO was the brainchild of an Irish woman, the clothes seem to understand Irish weather. In other words, there’s no need to lump them in the back of the wardrobe as seasons change.
