KIAN Dore of Kilcornan helped the Irish team to victory in the Nations Cup at the Federation Equestrian International (FEI) Youth Festival in Belgium last weekend.

At Sentower Park in Opglabbeek the 15-year-old Junior Cycle student at Rathkeale’s Coláiste na Trócaire guided both Sparkling Lackaghmore and Dulk du Thyme to double clear rounds in the CS10P 1.25 class.

This faultless performance secured him a place on the Nation’s Cup Team.

Jumping on Lackaghmore Joey the following afternoon, Kian secured a double clear round to help his country to secure a famous international win. Kian’s teammates were Gary Dooley, Alana Fagan, and Paddy Reape.

The Ireland Chef d’Equipe was Gary Marshall, while Kian’s trainer was Michael Condon.
