LIMERICK students drew their fair share of success at this year’s Texaco National Children’s Art Competition.

17-year-old Emma Comber took home the silver medal in her category for her work ‘It’s In The Eyes‘, which judges describes as “a most striking fantasia of representation”.

Emma, who is a student at Catherine McAuley secondary school in Limerick City, won a Special Merit award in last year’s competition.

Special Merit awards were won in this year’s competition by Caleb Morris (15) from Coláiste Íde agus Iosef in Abbeyfeale and Teresa Kennedy (14) from Coláiste Iósaef in Kilmallock for their entries which the judges said were “imaginative and displayed high levels of skill and creativity”.
